Programme Name:          M.A Arabic

Introduction:    

This department of Arabic is one of the pioneer departments of the university. This department was established in 1974 as an initially part of Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies. Later on this department started its functions as part of the faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies in 1988 in AIUO University. The nature of this department is unique and some programmes of Arabic such as MA Arabic offered only in this department. Matric to PhD level programmes are offered by the department.

The Department of Arabic has been able to revise its courses offered at M.A level with the help of Experts in different disciplines of Arabic similarly MA Arabic and other courses in the subject are also up-dated accordingly.

Admission Requirement:

Admissions Test

2nd Class Bachelor degree or equivalent along with Arabic as an elective subject (200 Marks) or (Should have passed Course Code 408).

2nd division B.A along with Fazil Arabi.

(or)

2nd division B.A along with Shahada-tul-Alamia/Shahada-tul-Alia from recognized Dini Madrasa/Wafaq.

(or)

Shahada-tul-Alamia/Alia along with B.A level English, Islamiat (compulsory) & Pakistan Studies. (or)

2nd division B.A along with Diploma in Arabic from any recognized institute/university.

Selection Process:           

All eligible candidates will be granted Admission subject to fulfilling Eligibility criteria.

Duration:             2 Years

Medium of Instruction:  Urdu/Arabic

Teaching Methodology:

The University allots Study Centre and Tutors for the Students to get guideline accordingly. A student has to secure passing marks in Assignments as well as in final exams to successfully complete concerned Educational Programme.

Programme Name:          M.Ed. In Teacher Education

Introduction:     The Department of Teacher Education was established in 1985 and was bifurcated into Secondary and Elementary Teacher Education Departments in July 2003. Its programmes aim at imparting academic and professional knowledge and training to in-services and pre service teachers and scholars.

Admission Requirement:             

BA/BSC and B.Ed/BS Ed with 2nd Division in both degrees.

Selection Process:           

All eligible candidates will be granted Admission subject to fulfilling Eligibility criteria.

Duration:             1 Year
